Your meeting stays on your device.

Recorded, transcribed and written up on the Mac in front of you.

Sound in, note out. One machine.

Follow one meeting from the first word to the saved file.

  2. TranscriptWritten by Apple's speech engine
  3. NoteWritten by Apple's on-device model
  4. FilesPlain Markdown, in a folder you can open
Four steps, one machine. Nothing crosses the edge.

Two engines. Both on your Mac.

The transcript and the note need no key and no internet.

A finished KeptNote note: the summary, decisions and next steps, each line with its time, and the transcript open beside it, both written on this Mac.
  • The transcript

Apple's speech engine, running on the Mac. Needs macOS 26 or later.

Prefer Whisper? Install it as an advanced option.

  • The note

Written by Apple's on-device model. Needs Apple Intelligence on macOS 26 or later.

  • The sources

Each line links to the moment in the transcript. Press its time and the transcript opens right there.

One door. You hold the key.

The only way meeting text can leave your Mac. Shut until you open it.

Off unless you choose it.

Off. The default.

The transcript and the note never leave your Mac.

  • Your key lives in the macOS Keychain.
  • The estimated cost shows first. The provider bills you directly.
  • Ask, across one meeting or all of them, uses the same door.

No bot. And you stay in charge.

  • Nothing joins the call

KeptNote listens to your Mac, not to the call app. Nothing is added to the attendee list.

  • You choose, in one tap

The card offers Record and Not now. KeptNote never stops you with a consent prompt. Telling people, and following the laws about recording where you are, is your responsibility.

Kept until the note is safe. Then it goes to the Trash.

By default. To keep the audio, turn on Keep raw microphone and system audio forever in Settings > Transcription.

Saved in 5-second pieces, so a crash loses almost nothing.

  1. Transcript written
  2. Note written
  3. Both verified
  4. Audio to the Trash

Plain files, in plain sight.

  • Notes are Markdown

Any text editor can open them. Nothing to convert.

  • Export it whole

Export the complete meeting package whenever you like.

  • Finder, not a silo

Show any meeting in Finder. Folders can link to a Finder folder.

  • Your calendar stays put

KeptNote reads the Mac's calendars. That data never leaves the Mac.
