What it does
What did I miss is a playbook. It reads the transcript so far and writes a catch-up: the main topics in order, the moments where decisions happened with their times, and anything that needs your answer. It uses your own AI provider, so you need a key. See AI keys and which brain answers.
Use it during a meeting

The chip is at the right end of the Ask bar while a meeting records.
Stay on the Notes page of the live meeting. The Ask bar sits beside the recording bar.
Press What did I miss in the bar. Its hover text reads Catch up without stopping the recording. You can also type / and choose What did I miss from the list.
An Answer card opens above the bar. It says Thinking while it works. It then shows the catch-up. Press the x to close it.
The Ask bar is not on the Reef page. Switch back to Notes first.
What it sends
KeptNote sends the transcript so far and the notes you typed to your provider, only when you press the chip. It never does this on a timer. If nobody has spoken yet, KeptNote sends nothing, and the card says Nothing has been said yet that KeptNote could hear. Ask again once people are talking.
Good to know
- The answer does not arrive piece by piece. It shows when it is complete.
- A live answer is not saved in a thread. Copy what you need before you close the card.
- KeptNote does not detect that you joined late. You press the chip yourself.
- After the meeting, you can run What did I miss from the slash list in the note’s Ask bar, or from the Playbooks sheet.
